Teaching Workflow

This is your day-to-day: check your classes, build the lessons and quizzes your students will use, set up a live class, and keep an eye on the calendar.

Building a course and running a live classSample video

Placeholder. Follow a teacher from an empty course to a published lesson, a quiz, and a live meeting.

Checking a class roster

  1. In the left menu, click Classes.
  2. Click the class you want.

You'll see every student in that class with their name, email, phone, photo, and status. Use Search to find someone by name, email, or phone, and Export CSV to download the list.

ملاحظة

Adding, editing, or removing students is done by your center admin, not from here.

Creating a course

A course is a container for your lessons. Each lesson is a video, and each video can have one quiz.

  1. Click Courses in the left menu.
  2. Click New Course.
  3. Fill in the form:
FieldWhat to enterRequired?
TitleThe course name your students will see.Yes
SummaryOne line describing the course.No
DescriptionThe longer explanation shown on the course page.No
StatusDraft, Published, Archived, Hidden, or Paused. Only Published is visible to students.Yes
Cover imageA picture for the course card.No
ClassesWhich of your classes get this course. Use the search picker to add them.No
  1. Click Save.

You'll land on a "What's next?" screen with two shortcuts: Add episodes and View course. Adding episodes is the natural next step.

Write it in more than one language

The title, summary, and description each have tabs for English, French, and Arabic. Fill in the languages your students use — they'll see the one matching their own language setting. You only need one.

Students in the attached classes get a notification that a new course is available.

Editing or deleting a course

Open the course from Courses to change any of the same fields, see its lesson list, and see which classes it's attached to.

Deleting a course deletes its lessons and quizzes

There's no undo. If you just want to hide a course from students, set its status to Draft or Hidden instead.

Adding lessons

  1. Open your course.
  2. Click Add Episode.
  3. Fill in the form:
FieldWhat to enterRequired?
Video sourceChoose YouTube or Vimeo.Yes
Video linkPaste the full link to the video. It must match the source you picked.Yes
TitleThe lesson name.Yes
Summary / DescriptionWhat the lesson covers. No
DurationHow long the video is, in seconds. No
OrderWhere this lesson sits in the list. Lower numbers come first. No
  1. Click Save.

To change a lesson later, click its edit icon in the course's lesson list.

Deleting a lesson also deletes its quiz

Delete a lesson only when you're sure you don't need its quiz results.

Previewing a lesson

Your course page has a lesson view that plays a lesson exactly as a student sees it. Use it to check the video actually plays and the description reads well before you publish.

Building a quiz

Each lesson can have one quiz.

  1. Open the lesson and go to its Quiz page.
  2. Set the basics:
FieldWhat to enterRequired?
Pass scoreThe percentage a student needs to pass, from 0 to 100.Yes
Time limitHow long students get, in seconds. Leave empty for no limit. No
Allow retakeTurn on if students may try again after finishing.Yes
Title / DescriptionWhat the quiz is about.Title yes
  1. Add your questions. For each one:
    • Choose single answer or multiple answers.
    • Write the question text.
    • Add at least two answer options.
    • Tick the correct one — or the correct ones, for a multiple-answer question.
    • Optionally add an explanation, shown to the student after they answer.
  2. Use the order numbers to arrange questions and answers.
  3. Click Save.
Multiple-answer questions are all-or-nothing

On a multiple-answer question, a student must pick every correct option and no wrong ones to get the mark. There's no partial credit. Keep that in mind when you set your pass score.

Seeing quiz results

The quiz page shows how your class did: how many students finished, the pass rate, and the average score, plus a per-student breakdown.

For the whole picture across a course, open the course's Quizzes page — it lists every quiz with the same stats side by side.

Results are read-only. You can't change a student's submitted answers.

Creating a live meeting

  1. Click Meetings in the left menu.
  2. Click New Meeting.
  3. Fill in the form:
FieldWhat to enterRequired?
TitleA name for the session. Left empty, it gets named for you.No
ClassesWhich classes this meeting is for.No
Duration (minutes)How long the session runs. Defaults to 180.Yes
Show in calendarLeave on so the meeting appears on everyone's calendar. No
Use a scheduled class sessionTurn on to attach this meeting to one of your upcoming recurring class sessions, picked from a list.No
Use an external linkTurn on if you already have your own meeting link to use instead. No
Advanced optionsExtra settings from your center's video provider, like a waiting room or a password. Hidden behind Show advanced. No
  1. Click Create.

Students in the class get a notification that a meeting has been created.

Your center picks the video provider

QraOnline Free Meetings, Zoom, Google Meet — whichever your admin has set up. See Connecting Providers.

Joining as host

Open the meeting from Meetings and click the join button. As the teacher you get the host link, so you have host controls in the video app. Students always get the plain participant link.

You can delete a meeting from its detail page.

Your calendar

Calendar shows your class sessions, your center's events, and your meetings together in a month or week view. Click any day to see just that day's items.

Calendar Schedule shows the same recurring class sessions as a filterable list. Each row tells you the weekday, the start and end time, and whether a meeting has been attached to that session yet. Sessions still waiting for a meeting are flagged — attaching one from New Meeting clears the flag.

The calendar is read-only for you. Class schedules and center events are set up by your admin in Using the Calendar.

If something goes wrong

I published a course but students can't see it. Check two things: its status must be Published, and it must be attached to their class.

Saving a quiz says one already exists. That lesson already has a quiz. Open the existing quiz and edit it instead of creating a new one, or delete the old one first.

I can't rename a class or change its fees. That's admin-only, by design. Ask your center admin.

The video shows a "missing video" badge. The link couldn't be read as a valid YouTube or Vimeo video. Edit the lesson and paste the full video link again, making sure the source toggle matches.

Everything is blocked except my profile. Your center's subscription has lapsed. Tell your center admin — see Paying for Your Subscription.
