Teacher Portal Overview
If you teach at a center that uses QraOnline, this is your home. It's where you see the classes you've been given, build your course content, run live classes, and check what's coming up.
Placeholder. See how a teacher signs in and what each part of the menu is for.
Signing in
Your center's admin creates your account for you. You can't sign yourself up.
- Open your center's QraOnline address in your browser.
- On the login screen, choose the Teacher tab.
- Enter your email and password.
- Click Sign in.
You land on your Dashboard.
If your admin set your account up with a temporary password, you'll be asked to choose a new one before you can go anywhere else. Pick something at least 8 characters long and type it twice. Once it's saved, the rest of the portal opens up.
Forgot your password
Click Forgot password? on the login screen and enter your email. You'll get an email with a link to set a new password. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then ask your center admin — they can reset it for you.
What's in your menu
Everything lives in the menu on the left, grouped into a few sections.
| Page | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | Your landing page. Shortcuts to everything else. |
| Classes | Every class you've been assigned to teach, and the students in each one. |
| Courses | Your course content — lessons, videos, and quizzes. |
| Calendar | A month or week view of your classes, school events, and live meetings. |
| Calendar Schedule | The same information as a simple list, easier to scan. |
| Meetings | Create a live class link, and join meetings as the host. |
| Notifications | Messages from your center — new course assignments, schedule changes, meetings. |
| Profile | Your own details. |
| Settings | Change your password, your preferences, and your language. |
For what you actually do on each of these, see Teaching Workflow.
Your classes and student lists
Click Classes to see every class you've been assigned. Each row shows the class name, how many students are in it, and when it was created.
Click a class to open its student list. You'll see each student's name, email, phone, photo, and whether their account is active.
Both screens have a Search box, a Refresh button, and Export CSV if you want the list in a spreadsheet.
Class names, fees, and who's enrolled are all managed by your center's admin. If a student is missing from your list or shouldn't be there, ask them to fix it in Managing Students.
Your profile
Profile shows your name, email, class, and center. Your details are kept up to date by your center admin — if something is wrong or out of date, ask them to correct it.
Notifications
Notifications is your inbox inside QraOnline. You'll get a message here when:
- A course is assigned to you.
- One of your classes gets a new or changed schedule.
- A live meeting is created for one of your classes.
Depending on how your center is set up, some of these also arrive by email or WhatsApp. Your admin controls that in Notification Settings.
Settings
Settings has three tabs:
| Tab | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Account | Change your password. |
| Preferences | General app preferences. |
| Language | The language the portal is shown in — English, French, or Arabic. |
There's a light/dark toggle in the header if you prefer a darker screen. Your center's colours and logo are set by your admin.
Common questions
Everything is blocked except my profile — what happened? Your center's QraOnline subscription has run out. Nothing of yours is lost. Let your center admin know and access comes straight back once they renew.
I can't find a class I know I teach. You only see classes you've been assigned to. Ask your admin to assign you to it.
Can I change my email address? Not from here. Ask your center admin to update it for you.
Can I create a class? No — classes are created by admins. You can create the courses and meetings that go with your classes. See Teaching Workflow.
