Student Portal Overview
This is where you sign in to watch your lessons, take quizzes, see your timetable, and join your live classes.
Placeholder. See how a student signs in for the first time and what each part of the menu does.
Signing in
Your school or center creates your account for you. There's no sign-up form.
- Open your center's QraOnline address in your browser.
- On the login screen, make sure the Student tab is selected. It usually is already.
- Enter the email and password your center gave you.
- Click Sign in.
You land on your Dashboard.
Setting your own password the first time
The password your center gave you is temporary. The first time you sign in, you'll be taken straight to a Change password screen and you won't be able to open anything else until you've done it.
- Type your new password.
- Type it again to confirm. It must be at least 8 characters and both boxes must match.
- Click Save.
You go straight to your dashboard, and you won't be asked again.
Click Forgot password? on the login screen and enter your email. You'll get an email with a link to choose a new one. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder, then ask your center.
What's in your menu
Everything is in the menu on the left.
| Page | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | Your starting point, with shortcuts to everything else. |
| Courses | The courses your class is enrolled in — your lessons and quizzes. |
| Calendar | A month or week view of your classes, school events, and live sessions. |
| Calendar Schedule | The same information as a simple list. |
| Meetings | Your live classes, and the button to join one. |
| Notifications | Messages from your school. |
| Profile | Your own details. |
| Settings | Change your password, preferences, and language. |
For how to actually watch lessons and take quizzes, see Learning Workflow.
Your profile
Profile shows your name, email, account status, your class, and your center.
These details are managed by your school. If your name or email is wrong, ask them to fix it — you can't change it yourself.
From this page you can also switch the interface Language, turn dark mode on or off, and Log out.
Notifications
Notifications is your inbox inside QraOnline. You'll get a message when new course content is published for your class, when a live class is scheduled, and when your timetable changes.
You can:
- See notifications grouped by Today, Yesterday, and Older.
- Filter by All, Unread, or System.
- Mark one, or all of them, as read.
- Delete one, or clear them all.
Depending on how your school is set up, some of these also arrive by email or WhatsApp.
Settings
Settings has three tabs:
| Tab | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Account | Change your password. |
| Preferences | General app preferences. |
| Language | The language the portal is shown in — English, French, or Arabic. |
To change your password, open the Account tab, enter your current password, then your new one twice. It needs to be at least 8 characters.
Your school sets the colours and logo, so there's no appearance tab — just the light/dark toggle in the header.
Common questions
I'm stuck on the change password screen. That's on purpose — finish setting your new password and the rest of the portal opens up. Make sure both boxes match and the password is at least 8 characters.
Sign-in says my account isn't allowed. Your account may have been switched off by your school. Ask them to check it.
Everything is blocked and I see a subscription message. Your school's QraOnline subscription has run out. Nothing of yours is lost. Let your school know — access comes straight back once they renew.
Where's my course? Courses are given to your whole class, and only once your teacher publishes them. If your classmates can see one and you can't, ask your school to check which class you're in.
