Learning Workflow

This page walks you through a normal study session: find your course, watch a lesson, mark it done, take the quiz, and join your live class.

Watching a lesson and taking its quizSample video

Placeholder. Follow a student from the course list through a video, a completed lesson, and a quiz result.

Finding your courses

  1. In the left menu, click Courses.
  2. You'll see every course your class is enrolled in, each with its title, description, and picture. There's a toggle to switch between cards and a list, whichever you prefer.
  3. Click a course to open it.

The course page shows all its lessons in order, each with its title, length, and a tick if you've already finished it.

You don't enrol yourself

Courses come to you through your class. If one is missing, your teacher may not have published it yet.

Watching a lesson

  1. Open a course and click a lesson.
  2. Click the video to start playing.

Next to the video is the full lesson list, so you can jump around with Previous and Next or by clicking any lesson directly.

Under the video you'll find the lesson title, its length, whether it's Completed or Not completed, a Mark as completed button, and two tabs: Description and Quiz.

How a lesson gets marked as watched

You have to say so yourself. Playing the video all the way to the end does not tick it off.

  1. Watch the lesson.
  2. Click Mark as completed.

The tick appears straight away, on this page and in the course's lesson list.

The Next button waits for you

Next stays greyed out until you've marked the current lesson completed. That's deliberate — it keeps you going through the course in order. The last lesson in a course is the exception.

There's no way to un-tick a lesson. If you marked one by mistake, just watch it again — the video is always available to replay.

Taking a quiz

Some lessons have a quiz. You can reach it two ways:

  • The Quiz tab on the lesson page.
  • The course's Quizzes page, which lists every lesson and its quiz status.

If a lesson has no quiz, you'll see "No quiz for this lesson."

Answering the questions

  1. Questions come one at a time, with a progress bar showing how many you've answered.
  2. Answer each one:
    • Single answer — picking an option replaces your previous choice.
    • Multiple answers — you can tick more than one. The screen tells you when this is the case.
  3. Use Previous and Next to move between questions. Nothing is sent until you submit.
  4. On the last question, the button becomes Submit. Click it.
If there's a timer, it submits for you

When a quiz has a time limit, a countdown runs in the corner. When it reaches zero the quiz is submitted automatically with whatever you've answered so far. Keep an eye on it.

You can submit with questions left blank — you'll get a warning first. Blank answers count as wrong.

Your score

Your result appears immediately after you submit:

  • Your score as a percentage and a pass or fail badge.
  • How many you got right, out of the total.
  • A question-by-question breakdown showing your answer and the correct one, plus your teacher's explanation where they wrote one.

If your teacher allowed retakes, you'll also see a Retake button. If they didn't, your first completed attempt is your final one and the retake button won't appear.

You can come back to any finished quiz later to see your result again. If you retook it, you'll see your most recent attempt.

Multiple-answer questions are all-or-nothing

On a question with more than one correct answer, you need every correct option and no wrong ones to get the mark. There's no partial credit — that's usually why a question you thought you got right is marked wrong.

The course quizzes page

The course's Quizzes page lists every lesson and where you stand:

StatusWhat it meansWhat you do
No quizThis lesson has no quiz.Nothing — just watch the lesson.
Not startedThere's a quiz and you haven't finished it.Open it and take it.
PassedYou scored at or above the pass mark.Nothing. Well done.
FailedYou scored below the pass mark.Retake it if retakes are allowed, otherwise talk to your teacher.

Your calendar

Calendar shows your class sessions, school events like holidays, exams, and announcements, and your live meetings, all in one month or week view.

Click a day to see just that day's items. When a class session has a live meeting attached, you can jump straight to joining it from here.

Calendar Schedule shows the same thing as a plain list, which is easier for scanning what's coming up.

The calendar is read-only for you — your school sets it up.

Joining a live class

  1. Click Meetings in the left menu.
  2. Use the tabs to filter: All, Upcoming, Live, or Finished. There's a search box too.
  3. Click the meeting to open it. You'll see the title, your teacher, the start and end time, and which video app it uses.
  4. Click Join Now.

The meeting opens in a new browser tab.

Join Now only appears while the class is live

If a class hasn't started yet, or has already finished or been cancelled, there's no join button. The list refreshes itself about once a minute, so leave it open and the button will appear when your teacher starts.

You can also join straight from the Calendar when a class session has a live meeting attached.

If something goes wrong

Nothing happened when I clicked Join Now. Your browser probably blocked the new tab. Allow pop-ups for this site and click again.

The Next button won't work. Click Mark as completed on the lesson you're on first.

The video area says "missing video". The lesson's video link is broken. Tell your teacher — they can fix it.

I can't retake a quiz. Your teacher turned retakes off for that quiz. Your first completed attempt is final.

I can't add anything to my calendar. That's expected. Only teachers and admins create schedules and events.
