Signing In

How to get into QraOnline, what happens the very first time you sign in, and what to do if you've forgotten your password.

Placeholder. See a brand-new admin sign in, set their own password, and reach the dashboard.

Signing in

  1. Open your center's admin sign-in page. Your center gave you the web address — it may be a QraOnline address or your center's own web address.
  2. Type your Email and Password.
  3. Click Sign In.

You land straight on your dashboard.

Your center's branding

If your center has connected its own web address, you'll see your center's logo and name on the sign-in page instead of the QraOnline one. See Using Your Own Web Address.

Too many tries

If you try many times in quick succession, QraOnline pauses sign-in attempts for a minute. Wait a moment and try again.

Your first sign-in: choosing your own password

When someone creates your admin account, they set a temporary password for you. The first time you sign in with it, QraOnline takes you to a Set a new password screen before anything else.

  1. Sign in with the password you were given.
  2. On Set a new password, type your new password and confirm it. It must be at least 8 characters.
  3. Click Set password.

You go straight to your dashboard. You stay signed in — no need to sign in again.

You can't skip this

Until you set your own password, you can't reach the dashboard or any other page. This is on purpose, so nobody else is left knowing your password.

Forgotten your password

  1. On the sign-in page, click Forgot password?.
  2. Type your email address and click Send reset link.
  3. Check your email for the reset message.
  4. Click the link in the email. It opens the Choose your password page.
  5. Type your new password (at least 8 characters), confirm it, and click Save password.
  6. You're taken back to the sign-in page. Sign in with your new password.

A few things worth knowing:

  • The page always says the same thing — "if an account exists for that email, a reset link has been sent" — whether or not the email matched. That's deliberate, so nobody can use the form to discover who has an account.
  • The link works for 60 minutes and only once.
  • Asking for a new link cancels the previous one. So if the email is slow, check your spam folder before requesting another.
  • After resetting this way, you're signed out everywhere — phone, tablet, other browsers. Sign in again with the new password.

Changing your password whenever you like

You don't need to forget it first.

  1. In the left sidebar, click Profile.
  2. Stay on the Info tab and scroll to the Account section.
  3. Type your new password in New password (at least 8 characters).
  4. Click Save.

Leave the password field empty if you're only updating other details — an empty field means your current password stays as it is.

Your email address is shown here but can't be changed by you. Ask another admin if it needs updating.

See Your Dashboard for everything else on your profile page.

If something goes wrong

The reset page says the link is invalid or expired. The link is older than 60 minutes, has already been used, or got cut short by your email app. Go back to the sign-in page and click Forgot password? for a fresh one.

I'm stuck on "Set a new password" and can't go anywhere. That's expected on a first sign-in. Fill in the form and everything unlocks.

I was signed out right after resetting my password. Also expected. Resetting by email signs you out of every device for safety.

The reset email never arrived. Check spam and junk first. If it's genuinely missing, ask another admin at your center to set you a new temporary password — you'll then be asked to choose your own on next sign-in.

Can I use the same sign-in page as my teachers and students? No. Teachers and students have their own portal sign-in. See Teacher Portal and Student Portal.
